👉Your About Page is one of the most important pages on your website.
Many businesses overlook the importance of the About Us or About Me page. Don’t be that person!
Contrary to popular belief, though, it shouldn’t be all about you.

Recently I opened an incognito window in my browser. I typed in my name and as I expected, my website was at the top of the search results. And, my About Denise page was the second result as you see in the screenshot above.
This is a free organic search result that pops up when someone types my name in a search bar.
When is the last time you did a search on someone’s name to find out more about them?
It happens ALL. THE. TIME.
When is the last time you typed YOUR name in the Google search bar? What were the results?
An About page is a special web page on a site where your readers/visitors learn more about you and what you do. This is not a contact us page.

I recently updated my entire website and worked with a copywriter to update some of the content on my About page. I recommend you do this too if it’s been more than a year since the last time you revised yours.
