In this Adventure in Visibility, I hung out with Martin Shervington, community manager for Plus Your Life and Plus Your Business! The topic of our conversation revolved around how Martin builds community and lasting relationships on Google+. We also discovered the answer to the question: Introvert or Extrovert as well as Martin’s most memorable adventure (at minute 37:48 in the video). [This post includes the original video, downloadable mp3 and transcript.]
Martin Shervington is a consultant, speaker, trainer and coach on all things Google+. As the community manager for both Plus Your Life and Plus Your Business! his role is to support individuals and new businesses to use Google+. With a post-grad in Organizational Psychology he often runs fun experiments to learn more about the power of Google+ and share the results back with the community so we can learn together.
On the Hangout we discussed:
- Martin’s approach to building relationships on Google+
- How Martin got started on Google+
- How relationships impact search on Google
Check out the Event page for comments, conversations and photos!
During the show Martin shared how he builds niche communities around specific interests. The embedded post below includes how I have implemented a variation on Martin’s tactic.
