Writing and Blogging Resources from Virtual Blog Writing Day

Virtual Blog Writing Day

The recent Virtual Blog Writing Day I facilitated exceeded my expectations in ALL ways. Meeting five times, every two hours, we consistently had more than 50 people showing up and reporting on outstanding progress and productivity. Many bloggers met or exceeded the writing goals they set for themselves. It was awesome and inspiring.

At each check-in we spent about 30 minutes reporting on successes and progress toward our blog writing goals. Then, I shared 15-20 minutes of blogging resources and tips, especially focused on writing. I want to thank Debra Marrs, editor and writing coach of Your Write Life, for joining me at the second check-in and sharing great tips and tactics for jump starting one's creative writing.

I received many requests for links to the blogging resources and sites I mentioned throughout the day. One site I shared with the group was Listly – a simple way to create sharable list posts – and to further demonstrate how you can use List.ly, I created the resource list online. The list below includes everything I found in my notes and what I remember talking about during the check-ins. I've included a few additional resources for you as well.
