We use SM software to find out who is talking about our keywords. A useful tip that we would pass along, is to raid your competitor's back links for areas that they are marketing to that you aren't. Even social chats from your competitor's staff can be utilized in this way.

Thanks for the post, Denise

Hey Denise! This is awesome. I think your insight is right on point for people. #5 Engage is probably the hardest to get people to understand in my experience. Many of my clients don't really understand what "engage" means. But after they get that social media is a 2 way conversation, things begin to change.

One additional piece I would like to add to this is optimizing your social pages. There are tons of ways to optimize your website to help build leads, but if you put the same practices into your social, you can build leads as well. For instance, optimizing your Google+ About section and Facebook About section can help you show up in the search engines within those social platforms. The same goes for the content, if you can optimize your content on social channels with naturally integrated keywords, you'll have more of a chance showing up in the top results of a social search.

Hope this helps! : ) Thanks again for your insight!! Lovin it!
