In order to boost your online visibility and effectively market your business, products, and services on the web, you need to know where your ideal client hangs out. Once you know, you can plan your online visibility strategy and create a presence on the appropriate sites.
A question I get a lot is about how to find where your ideal client hangs out online. While there are many ways to research this info, my suggestion is to start with the obvious which I share in this 2-minute video. [Can’t see the video? Click here.]
A great source of demographic information is the Insights on your Facebook Page. Not only can get you info about how people are using your Page, you get a very good snapshot of WHO is “liking” your page which will give you a big clue about your ideal client.
With that information, you can craft questions on your Page about other sites or publications your fans read. Another good question to ask is what search terms they use to find information about the type of product and service you provide. That will give you additional clues about niche social networks and forums to research and where you can focus your online visibility efforts.
