For five days I hung out in Denver, meeting and playing with dear friends, meeting clients for the first time face to face, and enjoying a whirlwind Adventure in a city I’ve never visited before.
I’ve written about my offline Adventures in the past, last year in India and a couple years ago in Peru. Both of those were vacation adventures with little to do with my business other than the fact I can’t stop thinking about my biz, my clients and how adventure travel is like owning a business.
The Adventure in Denver is different. It began as an opportunity for an in-person brainstorming meeting with Mia Voss and Lynne Knowlton to discuss and plan an event we’re putting together for Spring 2016. Then, it evolved into a 5-day #MiaOnTheGo extravaganza that was fun, busy and well documented on video and with pictures.
As I was thinking about how the week would unfold, I realized it was an opportunity to share with you how you can leverage events like these to connect with your fans and followers on and offline. By embracing a mindset of adventure and visibility, you can quickly create loyal fans and meet new people could provide new opportunities. It’s impossible to know how everything that will unfold over the next five days, but I’m pretty a lot of great connections will be made and that’s never a bad thing!
Here’s our plan and how to connect with me, Lynne and Mia, along the way.

You can see EVERYTHING was being recorded! Mia Voss interviewed General Manager Heather McCormick, and Executive Chef Roman Rodrigues. Watch the interview here. And see that beautiful rosey cocktail? It’s called Berries and Bubbles and I made a video of the bartender making it, which you can watch here.

Denise, I live in Denver! I live in the southwest foothills behind one of the hogbacks. If you don’t know what a hogback is ask one of your Denver friends.
I wish I could join you tomorrow night but I have another commitment.
Maybe next time!
Enjoy Denver, its a wonderful city.

Sorry we won’t get to meet up on this trip, Kim. I’m excited to be in Denver for a few days and exploring what the city offers!
