Hi, Denise.

Wow! Great article you got here. I'm trying to learn things about Pinterest and I'm so glad I came across your article. I've already requested for an invite from Pinterest.com so I could try it out, but haven't gotten one yet. Could you please send me an invite? Thanks a lot.

Hi Lynda,

I'm glad to help you with your question, but let me clarify a couple of things first, please.

First, you don't usually have to 'set up' your RSS feed- it should exist on your blog as is. It normally will be yoursite.com/blog/feed or similar.

What's the link to your site? I can help you find the RSS feed.

Once you have the RSS feed, then you will take that link and submit to these directories individually. You'll go to the page, it will give you a place to submit your feed, and you will enter your feed there- and repeat for each directory you want to submit to.

See Denise's reply under this one for a list of RSS directories you might consider.

Let me know how I can help you.

Rachna

Hi Denise & Rachna,

Thanks for this excellent post on RSS. I'm trying to set mine up, and I'm confused as what to do. My wordpress blog has the RSS symbol, but there is nothing in the link next to it, and when I click the symbol, this appears:

This XML file does not appear to have any style information associated with it. The document tree is shown below.
-From the list you posted below, do you have to subscribe to each RSS feed separately?

Find tips on marketing your blog here.-or do I use install one or more of "RSS Button Maker" or "Social Bookmark Creator" or all of the above? Thanks for your help, Lynda Goldman, Lynda@LyndaGoldmanCopywriting.com

Thanks for this info packed article, Denise. I setup a Pinterest account a while ago, and literally, without even posting anything ended up with 75 followers. Then I uploaded a random "pin" or two, and more followers. So, last week I concluded I should figure out what this is all about... and lo and behold I came across your article over on Cinch. As always, I appreciate all you do to continue to be a resource for us all.
